We departed Heathrow at 5.50pm on our flight to Delhi
A short stop at Indira Gandhi Airport and then our onward flight to Kathmandhu.
Arrival in Kathmandu and meeting our fellow trekkers and our local Expedition Leader Dawa Geljen Sherpa.
There was a good mix of people in our group, 17 in total, 11 guys, 6 girls. We're presented with flower garlands as a welcome to Nepal.
once our luggage is loaded, we're off to the hotel Shankar in Kathmandhu.
We have a short briefing from Dawa and then we ajourn to a traditional Nepalese restaurant, for our evening meal, complete with entertainment. Including ur first taste of Everest beer!
